Increasing number of abdominal trauma patient owing to traffic accident or hazardous sports gives rise to yield large number of kidney injuries. Since 1975, Department of Urology and University Hospital Emergency Service Section have treated more than 60 cases of those who suffered renal damage from abdominal trauma until December, 1984. This is a report of retrospective study of these cases. Basic criterion for diagnosis of kidney injury is an initial trauma with following macroscopic hematuria and any proved abnormal finding in IVP. 54 eases (M.45, F.9) qualified above standard and all of these cases were admitted.
