The first patient was a 69-year-old man, who noted sudden onset of right abdominal pain without any episode of trauma. An excetory urograms demonstrated extravasation of contrast medium around the right renal pelvis. Exploratory laparotomy was performed with the suspicion of spontaneous rupture of the right renal pelvis. But no perforation was found in the pelvis. Indigo carmine solution injected intravenously appeared in the upper pole of the kidney. The patient was treated conservatively with indwelling ureteral catheter.
