尿管留置カテーテルの長期使用に関する検討

LONG TERM USE OF URETERAL INDWELLING STENT

緒言

　尿管留置カテーテル（Double pigtail urcteral　stent；以下DPUS，またはDouble J ureteral stent；以下DJUS）は，本邦でも既に多くの施設で使用されており，尿管狭窄の治療における短期間の使用は定着した感がある。一方，尿管の通過障害に対する保存的治療として，1年以上または何年間も留置して然るべき症例もあると思われる。

　われわれは本邦ではじめて使用した（1979年10月1日）と思われるため^1），3症例という少数ではあるが長期使用例（12〜30ヵ月）も経験しているので，今回は長期間留置した際の問題点を述べてみたい。

Obstruction, side effects and usefulness of ureteral indwelling stent in long term use were discussed reviewing 3 non-tumor cases, in which stent were used for 12, 15 and 30 months. Although duratioh of patency of stent without obstruction varied from case to case (shortest 8 months and longest more than 19 months), no notable side effects such as inflammatory reaction or infection was noted so far we observed.
