緒言
1964年，Wiedemann1）およびBeckwith2）が，exomphalos, macroglossia, giantismを主徴とする新しい症候群を報告した。彼らの名前をとり，Wiedemann-Beckwith症候群，また本症のtriasの頭文字をとりEMG症候群とも言われている。本症はtrias以外にも泌尿器科的疾患を含めた特徴的症状を備えている。われわれは最近，両側停留睾丸を合併したBeckwith症候群の1例を経験したので，若干の文献的考察とともに報告する。
A case of Beckwith syndrome with bilateral undescended testiclesis was reported. Bilateral orchidopexy was performed successfully.
Disturbance in hypothalamo-pituito-gonadal axis during embryonal period was suspected as the cause of undescended testis.
