恥骨骨髄炎の1例

OSTEOMYELITIS OF THE PUBIC BONE:A CASE REPORT

緒言

　恥骨炎は，泌尿器科手術の術後合併症の1つとして知られており，その原因，治療に関しては未だ統一した見解が出されていない。われわれは恥骨後式前立腺摘除術後の恥骨骨髄炎を経験したので，ここに病因，治療などに関し若干の考察をも加えて報告する。

A 69-year-old man who had received retropubic prostatectomy for BPH about one month before was readmitted with chief complaint of fever, pubic pain with tenderness and gait disturbance due to pain. Although long-term conservative therapy containing various antibiotics under the diagnosis of osteitis pubis was performed, clinical symptoms continued without any remission. Biopsy and culture of the pubic bone were done surgically 2 months later. The histological finding was osteomyelitis and Pseudomonas aeruginosa was isolated bacteriologcially.
