尿細胞診で診断できた腎盂腫瘍の1例

A CASE OF RENAL PELVIC TUMOR DIAGNOSED BY THE URINARY CYTOLOGY

緒言

　最近，われわれは尿細胞診により診断できた腎盂腫瘍の1例を経験したので，腎盂腫瘍における尿細胞診の有用性について若干の考察を加えて報告する。

A 70-year old male visited our hospital with a chief complaint of asymptomatic grosshematuria on January 17, 1978. Cystoscopy and I.V.P. showed no particular change. The renal scintigram showed a cold area in the upper pole of the right kidney. Cytologic examination of bladder urine was performed 3 times and of right renal pelvic urine one time. All specimens showed class V, transitional cell carcinoma. Right retrograde pyelography revealed a filling defect of the upper calyces.
