緒言

　前立腺精嚢腺全摘術は，単なる前立腺腺腫核出術より出血量が多くて，術後の臥床が長く，合併症も多いむずかしい手術であるとされている。われわれは最近著者の恥骨後式前立腺切除術の止血方法^1〜2）を応用し，臨床的にStageII前立腺癌と診断した例は4例，Stage III1例，　Stage IV2例，良性の前立腺肥大症と診断した例は11例，あわせて18例の恥骨後式前立腺精嚢腺全摘術を行なつて，よい成果が得られたので，ここでこの手術方法と止血方法ならびに手術成績を紹介したい。

Total prostatovesiculectomy is a very knotty operation because of the difficulty in controlling he-morrhage and numerous postoperative complications. However, the modified operative method devised by the author successfully reduces this hemorrhage and the subsequent postoperative complications. This modified method includes the author's hemostatic suture-ligation method in retropubic prostatectomy and reversing the conventional procedure of the operation.
