男性化を呈した副腎皮質癌

A CASE OF VIRILIZING ADRENAL CARCINOMA

はじめに

　副腎皮質に由来する癌腫の過半数はホルモンの過剰による内分泌活性を有するという。これらの症状はCushing症候群を呈するもの，アルドステロン産生性，男性化または女性化を呈するものなどと多岐にわたり，内分泌学的に興味ある疾患である^1）。私どもは最近男性化を主症状とした17歳女子に副腎皮質癌と診断し，手術により加療したのでその概要を報告する。

A 17-year old female had been complaining amenorrhea, followed by masculine crack, hypertrichosis, acne and enlargement of clitoris for 2 and half years. Serum electrolytes, renal function, liver function, blood pressure and blood sugar were normal except of polycytemia. Abnormally high value of urinary 17 K.S. was noticed and it showed no change by the administration of ACTH and Dexamethazone by evaluation of hormone excretion in the urine.
