乳幼児急性乳様突起炎の4例

Acute Mastoiditis:A Review of Four Cases

　はじめに

　抗生剤の普及に伴い急性乳様突起炎は減少しているといわれているが^1,2），皆無となったわけではなく，小児の急性中耳炎の合併症として念頭におく必要のある疾患である。

　われわれは，過去2年間に4例の乳様突起炎を経験し，いずれも鼓膜の切開排膿と抗生剤の点滴静注などの保存的治療で治癒することができた。今回これらの症例を報告するとともに，乳幼児の急性乳様突起炎に対する治療法について，若干の文献的考察を加えて報告する。

Four children, aged one to two years with acute mas-toiditis are reported. They were treated at the Depart-ment of Otorhinolaryngology, Nakagami Hospital from 1999 to 2000. All patients had otalgia, postauricular swelling and high fever, but there were no intracranial complications such as facial paralysis, meningitis. All patients were treated with intravenous antibiotic therapy and myringotomy. But mastoidectomy was not perfomed in any of the patients.
