Hemangiopericytoma of the Nasal Septum

　はじめに

　鼻・副鼻腔原発の血管周皮腫（hemangioperi-cytoma：以下，HPCと略）は稀な腫瘍であり，その悪性度については様々で，その良性型としての“HPC様腫瘤”なる概念も提唱されているが^1,2），見解は一致していない。

　今回，鼻腔に発生し当初血管線維腫と考えられたHPC症例を経験したので，症例を呈示し，その診断および悪性度について考察した。

We report a case of hemangiopericytoma (HPC) arising from the nasal septum of a middle-aged woman. Preoperative diagnosis was angiofibroma,however, the final diagnosis was HPC with minimal mitotic activity. The concept of HPC-like intranasal tumor has been proposed because of its different pattern in the pathological and clinical aspects from HPC of other regions, though there has been controversy. HPC in nasal cavity may have a low-grade malignant potential even though it can be diagnosed pathologically as benign type, and long-term follow-up is recommended for its local recurrence and malignant change.
