突発性難聴新鮮症例における耳閉塞感のvisual analogue scale（VAS）による評価

Measurement of Ear Fullness in Cases with Sudden Deafness by Visual Analogue Scale (VAS)

　はじめに

　耳閉塞感は様々な耳疾患に伴う症状の1つであるが，患者の訴えは多彩であり，必ずしも聴力検査結果を反映しているとは限らず，客観的に評価することは難しい。これに対しZealleyら^1）は，うつ病患者の“気分”を測定する方法としてvisual analogue scale（VAS）が有用であったと報告している。

　今回われわれは，突発性難聴新鮮例に対しVASによる耳閉塞感の評価を行ったので報告する。

We evaluated the time course changes of the hearing threshold and the ear fullness by visualanalogue scale (VAS) in untreated cases with sudden deafness. VASs of ear fullness, hearing loss and tinnitus decreased significantly and these changes paralleled to the improvement of the average hearing threshold. However, there were some cases, in which the changes of VAS did not parallel to those of hearing threshold. It is supposed that the other pathogenesis, such as central factor, should be considered.
