顎下腺腫瘍34例の臨床的検討

A Clinical Study on 34 Cases of Submandibular Gland Tumors

　はじめに

　顎下腺腫瘍の発生頻度は耳下腺腫瘍に比べて低いものの，その中で悪性腫瘍の占める割合は高いといわれている^1,2）。今回われわれは，過去約12年間に当科で経験した顎下腺腫瘍症例34例の，特に術前の良性，悪性の判断の可否について検討し知見を得たので，若干の文献的考察を加えて報告する。

A retrospective investigation on 34 patients with submandibular gland tumors (SGTs) was perfor-med. The tumors consisted of 25 benign and 9 malig-nant types. By preoperative assessment of regional lymph nodes swelling, Gallium scintigraphy and fine-needle aspiration cytology, we conclude that it is difficult to make an acurate diagnosis on SGTs regardless to benign or malignant. Therefore we recently performed submandibular neck dissection simultaneously in addition to removal of the gland, even if the tumor was diagnosed as a benign type by preoperative assessment.
