めまいと脳波異常

Dizziness and Abnormal Electroencephalogram (EEG)

　はじめに

　いわゆるdizziness症例では，フラーとする，クラクラする，意識がなくなる感じがする，電車の中で気分が悪くなる，などの訴えが多い。

　平衡機能検査で中枢神経障害の所見もなく，温度刺激検査の左右差もない。訴えのわりには所見に乏しい症例である。これらの中にはCMI検査でIII型，IV型と精神病，心身症を思わせる症例もあり，その専門的治療が必要となる。

　また，軽い精神安定剤を用いるとかなり改善される症例もある。しかし，精神安定剤抗めまい薬を投与しても一向に良くならない，と訴える症例もある。これらの中には，脳波検査で異常所見がみられた症例もあり，今回，このような症例につき検討した。

Psychosomatic or psychological patients some-times complain of dizzy feeling or unsteadiness. These dizzy patients also complain of fainting attacks, a feeling of losing consciousness, or becom-ing dark. Electroencephalographical study was per-formed in these dizzy patients.

38.5% of dizzy patients showed abnormal EEG, and 9.5% of the control cases also showed abnormal EEG. The findings of the abnormal EEG were the temporal lobe epileptic type in 27%, the six cycle positive spike in 3.8%, and the other kinds of abnormal EEG in 7.7% of the dizzy patients.
