小脳橋角部から咽頭に及ぶ巨大Neurofibromatosis type 2の1例

A Large Neurofibromatosis type 2 of Cerebellopontine Angle from Epipharynx:Report of a Case

　はじめに

　Neurofibromatosis（NF）は，神経皮膚症候群の1つであり，頻度は人口10万あたり30〜40人と推定されている^1）。1988年に，厚生省特定疾患調査研究班によりNFの診断基準が制定され，現在も研究が進められているが^1），その治療法や，治療方針は様々である。両側聴神経腫瘍としては3cm以上を巨大としているが^2），今回われわれは右側小脳橋角部から内耳道，中耳腔，咽頭腔へと及ぶ広範囲かつ巨大な腫瘍を有し，左側内耳道にも腫瘍を認めた小児のNeurofibromatosis type 2の1例を経験したので，若干の文献的考察を加え報告する。

A 11-year-old girl presented with right facial nerve palsy. CT, MRI showed a large mass of the right cerebellopontine angle from the right middle ear and epipharynx. There was also a mass in the left internal auditory canal.

The epipharyngeal mass was surgically excised, and histological study showed neurofibroma, but the intracranial tumor remained untouched.

The patient has been followed for 11 months without complications or recurrence.
