特発性縦隔気腫の4症例

Spontaneous Mediastinal Emphysema:A Report of Four Cases

　はじめに

　われわれ耳鼻咽喉科医師が，外来診療の場で頸部や縦隔に気腫を認める症例を観察する機会は比較的少ない。基礎疾患をもった症例や，胸部症状を主訴にする場合は小児科や内科を受診することが多く，外傷が原因の場合は多くが外科や救急外来を受診することが多いことがその理由として考えられる。われわれは今回，基礎疾患のない健康人に生じた特発性縦隔気腫の4症例を経験したので若干の文献的考察を加えて報告する。

Spontaneous mediastinal emphysema is relativelyrare and its cause has been thought to be due to congenital fragility of the pulmonary vesicles. Four patients, including two men and two women aged from 15 to 30 years, presented with acute or subacute chest and/or throat symptoms. It was concluded that x-ray study of the lateral neck should be performed to detect at this disease.
