咽喉頭癌剖検例における重複癌の検討

Study on Double Cancers in Patients with Pharyngeal and Laryngeal Carcinoma

　はじめに

　頭頸部癌における重複癌の頻度は比較的高いといわれている。なかでも咽頭癌，喉頭癌での頻度は10〜20％とする報告もある^1,2）。

　今回われわれは咽頭癌，喉頭癌の剖検症例での重複癌について検討したので若干の文献的考察を加えて報告する。

During a 11-year period, 210 patients with pharyngeal and laryngeal carcinoma had been treatment in Toho University Ohmori Hospital. Sixty-four patients out of 210 had died, and au-topsy had been performed in 23.

Double cancers were identified in 6 out of 23 autopsy cases. Consequently,the incidence of dou-ble cancers in the patients with pharyngeal or laryngeal carcinoma was found to be unexpecte-dly high.

Some patients, whose primary cancer had dis-appeared, developed secondary cancer, which resulted in patient's death.

Exposure to carcinogenic substances like as smoking and alcohol, appeared to play a role in the pathogenesis of double cancers.
