上顎洞粘表皮癌の検討

Mucoepidermoid Carcinoma of Maxillary Sinus Report of 3 Cases

　はじめに

　粘表皮癌は唾液腺山来の腫瘍であり，そのほとんどが大唾液腺および小唾液腺に発生する。鼻，副鼻腔における粘表皮癌は比較的稀であり，多面性をもった腫瘍といわれている^1）。われわれは最近10年間に，3例の上顎洞粘表皮癌を経験したので，病理学的考察を加えて報告する。

Three cases with mucoepidermoid carcinoma of the maxillary sinus, who visited our University Hospital in recent 10 years, were reported.

In the same period, forty-seven cases with maxillary carcinoma received treatment.

Histopathologically, mucous cells and squamous cells were observed in the tumor cell nests, but the ductal structure and cornified cells were not clearly identified.

It is presumed that mucoepidermoid carcinoma developes from the maxillary sinus mucosa after squamatization of the columnar epithelium. And it might be also possible that it develops from intraduct glands in the maxillary sinus in similar to the usual carcinogenesis of mucoepidermoid carcinoma from the salivary gland.
