鼻・副鼻腔パピローマについて—最近10年間の統計的観察

Papilloma of the Nose and Paranasal Sinuses:A Statistical Observation in Recent 10 Years

　はじめに

　鼻・副鼻腔のパピローマは比較的稀な良性腫瘍であり，その組織型，易再発性，悪性変化などの点から他の鼻・副鼻腔良性腫瘍とは異なった性格を持っている。

　最近10年間に，私たちの教室で10例の鼻・副鼻腔パピローマの症例を経験したので，その臨床的特徴，経過ならびに病理組織学的所見について報告する。

Papilloma of the nose and paranasal sinuses is a relatively rare benign tumor. It shows different histologic characteristics from other benign nasal tumors. And also it shows recurrence frequently and sometimes it changes into the malignant. In the past 10 yeas, ten patients with nasal papilloma underwent surgical treatment in our hospital.

Out of ten cases, five had inverted papilloma, four had exophytic papilloma and one case show-ed combined papilloma.

Recurrence was detected in four cases. In four recurrent cases, the tumor was located in the ethmoidal or sphenoidal sinus, and after its exci-sion by transmaxillary approach or intranasal approach recurrence of tumor was observed at the same site.

It was suggested that recurrence of tumor depended on the extent of tumor spread, and on whether the removal of tumor was successful or not.
