はじめに
喉頭癌は頭頸部悪性腫瘍の中でも発生頻度が高く，またその予後は一般に比較的良好である。放射線感受性が高いため，T1，T2の早期症例では音声機能を考慮し放射線治療やレーザー治療が第1選択とされている1〜4）。
当科でも，T1，T2の早期症例では放射線治療を第1選択として治療している。今回われわれは，当科で一次治療した喉頭癌T2症例について臨床的検討を行ったので報告する。
A clinical study was made on 52 patients with T 2 laryngeal cancer treated in our department during 12 years from 1982 to 1993.
Most of the patients (90.4%) were 50 to 70 yearsof age, and the male-female ratio was 16.3 : 1. There were 28 cases of the glottic type, 13 of the supraglottic type, 2 of the subglottic type, and 9 of the mixed type.
Hoarseness was the most frequent complaint (96.2%) in the patients.
The overall five-year survival rate was 77.1% and the five-year larynx preservation rate was 56.3%.
Distant metastases were observed in 5 cases.
