気圧外傷による顔面神経麻痺の1例

Alternobaric Facial Nerve Palsy

　はじめに

　気圧外傷による顔面神経麻痺の報告は比較的少ない。1967年Benett^1）が飛行中に発生した例を初めて報告し，本邦では込田^2）らが1985年に一過性の麻癖1例を報告している。麻痺は一過性であることが多く，持続的な麻痺は稀である。今回持続的な麻痺例を経験したので報告する。

A 27-year-old professional diver experienced acute transient right peripheral nerve palsy after air open circuit dive. He was completely restored to normal in 3 weeks. Pure tone audiomety and caloric test showed no pathological findings.

Thirty cases from the literature for alternobaric facial nerve palsy were reviewed. The distribution of frequency, age, sex and treatment was analysed.
