A 40-year-old man with a large senventh nerve neurinoma extending to the middle cranial fossa is presented. Main symptome of the patient was only hearing loss on the affected side with no history of facial weakness. Middle cranial fossa approach and middle ear surgery were performed. The tumor was removed with preservation of facial nerve. Although weakness of the facial nerve was seen temporarily, the facial function was gradually improved and is continuing normal during two years until the present after the sur-gery.

This paper reviews the literatures on the sub-ject of seventh nerve neurinoma extending to the cranial fossa, and discusses the symptomes, the diagnosis and management of the lesion.
