12年後鼻腔に転移した腎癌の1症例

Metastasis of Renal Cancer to Nasal Cavity

　緒言

　腎癌は他の癌に比べて，比較的時間をおいて転移するのが特徴といわれている。それでも数年以内という報告がほとんどであるが，今回われわれは腎癌にて腎摘12年後に鼻腔に転移した稀な症例を経験したのでここに報告する。

A 62-year-old male presented with a hemor-rhage in the left nasal cavity 12 years after a right nephrectomy for renal cancer. There was a tumor in the left nasal cavity and a massive hemorrhage was encountered during biopsy.

Histopathologic examination revealed a clear cell carcinoma due to metastasis of renal cancer resected 12 years ago. Urological and medical examinations also revealed a metastasis in the apex. The patient was transferred to the Dept. of Urology and radiotherapy was performed.
