A 77-year-old woman received aortic valve replacement surgery by endotracheal intubations. The patient suffered from hoarseness in 1 month postoperatively. The intubation-induced granuloma was found in the subglottic larynx and the right vocal cord. The granuloma was not diminished by the systematic steroid therapy. The dyspnea and wheezing were thought due to the enlarged subglottic granuloma. The granulation was removed under general anesthesia after trachostomy. The granuloma of the larynx has not recurred for 2 years.
