頸部化膿性脊椎炎による椎前部膿瘍の1例

A case of prevertebral abscess induced by cervical pyogenic spondylitis

Ⅰ．はじめに

　深頸部の蜂窩織炎および膿瘍は，急速に進行し感染初期の判断の遅れにより後遺症を残したり，場合によっては致命的になることがあり耳鼻咽喉科領域では最も問題となる感染症の1つである。今回われわれは保存的治療では改善せず，観血的治療を要した頸部化膿性脊椎炎による椎前部膿瘍の1症例を経験したので報告する。

□Abstract

　A patient visited the orthopedic clinic with neck pain,fever and sore throat. He received antibiotics treatments and thereafter he was referred to our hospital because of his deteriorating symptoms. In spite of our intensive treatment,he developed paralysis and underwent surgery for abscess drainage and bone curettage. Final diagnosis was pyogenic spondylitis caused by MRSA. Because pyogenic spondylitis sometimes causes serious paralysis,closest attention should be paid during the course.
