鼻閉を主訴としたTornwaldt病の1症例

Tornwaldt's Disease―A Case Report―

I．はじめに

　Tornwaldt病は胎生期鼻咽頭囊の遺残に起因し，Millerら^1）によると，Tornwaldtが1885年に臨床症状を最初に報告したとされている。ほとんどは無症状に経過するが，感染を契機として後鼻漏，頭痛，鼻閉などの症状を引き起こすことがある^2）。

　今回われわれは，鼻閉を主訴に来院したTornwaldt病の1症例を経験したので報告する。

　We reported a case of a patient with Tornwaldt's disease who complained of nasal obstruction. Magnetic resonance images revealed the existence of Tornwaldt's disease in the epipharynx. The anterior wall of the cyst was removed under general anesthesia using the endoscope. After the operation,the patient became free from the nasal symptom.
