上咽頭嚢胞の1例—Tornwaldt病の診断に関する考察

A Case of Tornwaldt's Disease

　はじめに

　上咽頭には様々な種類の嚢胞が発生するが，それらはいずれも比較的稀なものである。新潟大学耳鼻咽喉科における10年間の統計^1）では，上咽頭腫瘍を疑って生検を施行した症例中，良性疾患は53例であったが，そのなかで嚢胞はわずか1例のみである。今回われわれはTornwaldt病が疑われた上咽頭嚢胞の1例を経験したので，文献的考察を加えて報告する。

A 51 year-old woman with sore throat was foundto have a nasopharyngeal cyst arising from the posterior wall to the ceiling of nasopharynx. Patho-histology of the lesion was a cyst which was coated by ciliary epithelial cell accompanied with inflam-mation. Basing on the location, pathology, the size of the lesion, Tornwaldt's disease was diagnosed.
