Tornwaldt病の1例

Tornwaldt's Disease:Report of a Case

　はじめに

　Tornwaldt^1）は1885年に上咽頭部の発生学的遺残である咽頭嚢の病変に伴う病態を報告し，以来咽頭嚢の感染，嚢胞，膿瘍はTornwaldt病といわれている。

　今回われわれはTornwaldt病と考えられた症例を経験し，文献的に報告例は少なく比較的稀と考えられるのでその臨床像について報告する。

Tornwaldt's disease is defined as cystic or in-flammatory lesions of pharyngeal bursa.

We report a case of a 57-year-old female pre-senting a nasopharyngeal paraesthesia.

Nasopharyngeal fiberscopy demonstrated a cyst which located in the midline of posterior wall of nasopharynx. MRI demonstrated that a nasopha-ryngeal mass was adherent to the occipital bone. Based on these findings, this case was diagnosed as Tornwaldt's disease.

After removing anterior wall of the cyst under the fiberscope, no reccurence has been noted for six months.
