We evaluated the relationship between retinal sensitivity and focal visual acuity in 17 eyes with glaucoma. We used a scanning laser ophthalmoscope (SLO) visumetry device. It was not possible to quantitate the focal visual acuity at retinal regions with absolute scotoma. There was a tendency for the focal visual acuity to decrease along with decrease in retinal sensitivity with a few exceptions. SLO visumetry was thus useful in quantitating the retinal function in glaucoma eyes.
