  • Abstract
  • Look Inside

We performed indocyanine green (ICG) angio-graphy in 3 diabetic patients, aged 22, 22 and 30 years. Insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus had been present for 10 years or longer. In the first case, it took 5 seconds between the start of choroidal arterial filling and complete dye filling of major choroidal vessels. In the other two cases, ICG angio-graphy showed a brighty fluorescent region towards the late phase. Fluorescein angiography failed to show corresponding dye leakage. The finding was suggestive of intrachoroidal leakage of ICG. ICG angiography was thus useful in detecting choroidal vascular disorders in diabetic eyes.
