　過去14年間に4例のParinaud's oculoglandular syndromeを経験した。これらの臨床観察，検査ならびに治療結果から，本疾患の病像形成機序と治療方法について次のような結論を得た。本疾患は，猫が媒介するWarthin-Starrysilver染色陽性の桿菌が病原菌であり，本菌が結膜に感染・増殖し，リンパの流れにのって同側の所属リンパ節に移動し，そこに膿瘍を形成するものである。したがって本疾患の治療は，抗生物質の投与が基本であり，アミノグリコシド系とセフェム系抗生物質の併用療法が望ましいものと考える。

We observed 4 cases of Parinaud's oculoglandular syndrome in the foregoing 14 years. Following conclusions were drawn regarding pathogenesisand treatment. It is caused by Warthin-Starry silver-positive bacteria with the cat as the carrier. After infection, the bacteria grow in the conjunctiva and move to the regional lymph nodes to formabscess. Topical and systemic antibiotics is therefore the treatment of choice. Combination ofaminoglycosides and cephems seems to give optimal results.
