　裂孔原性網膜剥離に経強膜的網膜剥離手術を施行された146例150眼について眼球形状変化を計測した。術後早期にはエクソプラント法での眼軸長は−0.8％の減少，輪状締結術では1.6％の増加を認めた。また輪状締結術では術後1年でも眼軸長増加傾向が遷延する症例があった。角膜屈折度は，術式にかかわらず，0.5〜0.8％の軽度増加傾向を示し，年齢やバックリングの材質は眼球形状には大きな影響はなかった。

We evaluated the axial length and the corneal curvature after scleral buckling surgery for rheg-matogenous retinal detachment in 150 eyes. The axial length elongated by 1.6% after encirclingsurgery and shortened by 0.8% after segmental buckling procedure. The elongation of the axial length occasionally persisted one year after sur-gery. The corneal refractive power increased by 0.5% to 0.8% regardless of the type of surgery. Age of patient or material for buckling did not influence the postoperative changes in the shape of the eye-globe.
