アトピー性皮膚炎患者における角膜内皮

The corneal endothelium in patients with atopic dermatitis

　アトピー性皮膚炎患者11名19眼の角膜内皮につき，スペキュラーマイクロスコピーにて平均細胞面積，変動係数，六角形細胞出現率を検討した。アトピー性皮膚炎患者では，正常者と比較して，平均細胞面積には有意な差を認めないが，変動係数の増大を認め（P＜0.01），さらに六角形細胞出現率の低下を認めた（P＜0.01）。このことは，アトピー性皮膚炎患者では平均細胞面積の増大をきたさない範囲で，角膜内皮細胞の脱落が起こっていることを示しており，アトピー素因が角膜内皮細胞に何らかの障害を与えていることが示唆された。

We evaluated the corneal endothelium in 19 eyes in 11 patients with atopic dermatitis by specular microscopy. We quantitated the mean cell area, coefficient of variations and frequency of hexago-nal cells. There was no statistical difference in mean cell area in the group when compared withnormal controls. Coefficient of variations was sig-nificantly greater and frequency of hexagonal cells smaller in the group than in controls. The findings seemed to suggest that the corneal endothelium is subjected to some stress in patients with atopic dermatitis.
