超音波乳化吸引術後早期の角膜内皮細胞密度と前房深度との関係

Relation between corneal endothelial population and anterior chamber depth soon after phacoemulsification-aspiration

　耳側角膜切開で超音波乳化吸引術および眼内レンズ挿入術を行った34例47眼の術前の解剖学的生体計測値（前房深度，眼軸長）および手術時間が術後角膜内皮細胞密度および角膜内皮細胞密度減少率に与える影響について検討した。その結果，術後角膜内皮細胞密度は術前の中心前房深度と相関し（r＝0.380,p＝0.0092），浅前房眼では少なかったが，眼軸長，手術時間とは相関しなかった。浅前房眼では超音波乳化吸引術において角膜内皮細胞減少を起こしやすく，角膜内皮細胞保護により注意を払うべきであると思われた。

We evaluated the corneal endothelial cell population before and one month after phacoemulsification-aspi-ration in 47 eyes. The decrease in endothelial cells was significantly correlated with the anterior chamber depth before surgery (r =0.380, p= 0.0092). It was correlated neither with the axial length nor duration of surgery. This finding shows that shallow anterior chamber may be a risk factor for corneal endothelial cell loss after phacoemulsification-aspiration.
