ラタノプロスト点眼が調節の準静的特性に及ぼす影響

Effect of a signal instillation of latanoprost on the quasi-static characteristics of accommodation

　0.005％ラタノプロストの単回点眼が調節の準静的特性に及ぼす影響を実験した。対象は眼科的に異常がない11名22眼で，平均年齢は19.3±2.1歳である。点眼12時間後の眼圧と調節応答を測定した。対照として，生理食塩水点眼を用いた。対照と比較して，ラタノプロスト点眼眼では眼圧が有意に低下し（p＜0.005），調節近点が有意に近方化した（p＜0.05）。調節遠点と調節安静位には有意な変化がなく，その結果として調節幅が有意に増加した（p＜0.01）。ラタノプロスト点眼が眼圧下降ととしに毛様体筋に機能的な変化をもたらし，調節機能に影響する可能性を示す所見である。

We evaluated the effect of instillation of 0.005% latanoprost on the quasi-static characteristics of accom-modation. Ophthalmologically normal 22 eyes of 11 persons served as test subjects. Their ages averaged 19.3±2.1 years. We used instillation of physiolocial saline as control. Twelve hours after a single instillation of latanoprost,the intraocular pressure decreased significantly (p＜0.005). The near point of accommodation also shifted inward signifi-cantly (p＜0.05). There was no change in the far point of accommodation or empty field of accommodation, resulting in singnificant increase in the range of accommodation (p＜0.01). The findings show that topical latanoprost treatment may induce physiological changes in the ciliary muscles in healthy human eyes.
