Purpose: To evaluate the outcome of macular rotation surgery for myopic choroidal neovascularization during the foregoing 16 months. Cases and Methods: Surgery was performed on 6 eyes of 6 patients. They comprised 2 males and 4 females. Their ages ranged from 47 to 69 years, average 54 years. The amount of foveal rotation aver-aged 10.5 degrees. The cases were followed up for 393 to 663 days, average 508 days. Results: The corrected visual acuity improved in 5 eyes. It improved by 2 lines or more in 3 eyes (50%) and by 4 lines or more in 2 eyes (33%). Choroidal neovascularization recurred after 19 months in one eye (33%). There were no intraoperative complications except subretinal aberration of perfluorocarbon without serious sequelae in one eye. Conclusion: Macular rotation sur-gery is safe and effective for myopic choroidal neovascularization.
