  • Abstract
  • Look Inside

We observed five cases who developed complications following refractive keratoplasty. The procedures included radial keratotomy (RK) , photorefractive keratectomy (PRK) or laser in situ keratomileusis (LASIK) . One case each developed hyperopia with irregular astigmatism and diurnal variation in refraction following RK. One case developed regression of refraction and subepithelial haze following PRK. One case each showed foreign body under the corneal flap and opacity in the anterior corneal stroma involving the corneal flap. It is debatable whether the three procedures have been perfected. We advocate rigorous selection of suitable cases after devising adequate measures to cope with anticipated complications for each procedure.
