帯状角膜変性症の姉妹例

Band keratopathy in two female siblings

（18-レセ1-2）　両眼に帯状角膜変性症と白内障を認めた81歳女性（症例1），78歳女性（症例2）について，角膜変性部を手術的に採取，電子顕微鏡による微細構造の観察と元素分析および，病理組織標本にてカルシウムの存在を確認した。諸検査を施行するも続発性要因は認められなかった。続発性要因を認めない帯状角膜変性症は孤発例でも稀であるが，本症例は姉妹であり，帯状角膜変性症の遺伝的発現の可能性を示唆する上でも興味深いと考えられた。

Two female siblings, aged 78 and 81 years each, presented with bilateral band keratopathy and cataract. Laboratory studies showed no underlying systemic pathological features. Biopsy of band keratopathy showed the presence of calcium by electron microscopy and histopathology. The present cases illustrate that band keratopathy may develop due to unidentified genetic factors.
