(展示226) 網膜症発症時年齢が50歳以下の早期発症インスリン非依存性糖尿病(non-insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus:NIDDM)患者18例を対象に,PCR-RFLP法を用いてHLA-DQA1および-DQB1遺伝子のHLA-DNAタイピングを行った。対照として健康成人50例を同様に検索した。その結果,両群間で有意差を示すものはなかったが,HLA-DQA1*0501,HLA-DQB1*0301,HLA-DQB1*0302,HLA-DQBI*0402が患者群で相対的に軽度増加し,HLA-DQA1*0101=0104,HLA-DQB1*0303は相対的に減少していた。網膜症を有する早期発症NIDDMの遺伝因子の一部にはHLAクラスII抗原が関与している可能性が示唆された。
We performed DNA typing of the HLA class II antigens in 18 patients with early-onset non-insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus (NIDDM) with retinopathy. The patients were less than 50 years in age at the time of detection of retinopathy. DQA1 and DQB1 HLA typing was made by polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism method. Another group of 50 healthy persons served as control. No significant difference were found between the two groups regarding the DQA1 and DQB1 HLA types. The patient groups showed slightly higher incidence of DQA1 * 0501, DQB1 * 0301, DQB1 * 0302 and DQB1 * 0402 than the controls. The frequency of DQA1 * 0101=0104 and DQB1 * 0303 was relatively decreased in the patient group. The findings suggest that HLA class II antigens are partially associated with early-onset NIDDM with retinopathy.
