透明角膜に発症した角膜石灰変性の1例

A case of calcareous degeneration in transparent cornea

　透明角膜に発症した角膜石灰変性の1例を経験した。症例は53歳女性で3年前より右眼の異物感と視力障害を自覚していた。右眼角膜のほぼ中央に氷砂糖様の上皮下沈着物を認めた。周囲の角膜には異常はなかった。その沈着物を除去し組織学的検査を行ったところ石灰沈着と判明した。その周囲に炎症所見はみられず，ほかに眼科的疾患のないことから一次性角膜石灰変性と診断した。筆者らの検索した範囲では本邦ではまだこの報告はない。

A 53-year-old female presented with foreign body sensation and visual disturbance in the right eye of 3 years' duration. There was a subepithelial deposit like a clump of glacial sugar in the center of the affected cornea. The cornea around the lesion was intact. The excised deposit proved to be, histopatho-logically, calcified tissue without inflammatory cells. The case was diagnosed as primary calcareous degeneration of the cornea, the first case to be reported in Japan.
