Bスキャン超音波法で観察した毛様体皺襞部裂孔の1例

B-scan ultrasonography of a break in the pars plicata of the ciliary body

　毛様体皺襞部裂孔に対し，水浸法によるBスキャン超音波法（周波数10MHz）を試みた。皺襞部裂孔のエコー像は特徴的で，毛様体の少し内側に，剥離した毛様体無色素上皮が極めて明瞭なエコー像として描出された。Bスキャン超音波法は毛様体皺襞部裂孔の診断や形態把握に有用と考える。

A 27-year-old male presented with rhegmatogenous retinal detachment in the right eye. He had been suffering from atopic dermatitis since childhood. Ophthalmoscopy with scleral indentation showed detachment with a break in the pars plicata of the ciliary body adjacent to the area of retinal detachment. These features were more clearly observed by B-scan ultrasonography using a water-bath immersion method and 10 MHz ultrasound. The detached nonpigmented epithelium appeared as a well-defined straight line just posterior to the ciliary body. This case illustrates the value of B-scan ultrasonography in the examination of break in the pars plicata of the ciliary body.
