涙道閉塞症に対する内視鏡下鼻涙管チューブ留置術

Treatment of nasolacrimal obstruction with silicone intubation under an endoscope

　1992年2月3日から1994年9月28日までに多根記念眼科病院において涙道閉塞症患者76例86眼を対象に内視鏡下鼻涙管チューブ留置術を施行し，その効果を検討した。特に涙点閉塞症例において著効を認めた。また涙嚢炎を合併したものでも術後の管理を確実に行えば予後良好であった。

　本法は涙道閉塞症症例に効果的であり，侵襲も少ないためdacryocystorhinostomyなどを行う前に選択すべき術式であると思われた。

We reviewed the effect of silicone tube intubation under a nasal endoscope for nasolacrimal obstruction in 86 eyes of 76 patients. The procedure proved easy and safe. The rate of success was 100% for obstruction of lacrimal puncta, 88% for that of canaliculi and 73% for that of lacrimal duct. Epiphera improved in 89% when the obstruction was located in the lacrimal puncta, 68% in the canaliculi and 76% in lacrimal duct. The findings show the value of endoscope-assisted silicone intubation as the primary procedure before dacryocystorhinostomy.
