We measured transmission of laser at various wavelength by 3 types of intraocular lens (IOL): PMMA, UV-cut PMMA and colored UV-cut PMMA. The laser wavelength was set at 488 +514nm, 514 nm, 590 nm and 630nm. The laser output was set between 0.1 and 0.5W. The measurement was performed by placing respective IOL in a plastic eye model. The IOL made of colored UV-cut PMMA, +30D in power, showed a maximum of 15% attenuation for laser at 488+514nm. This finding will be of help in performing laser photocoagulation in pseudophakic eyes.
