Abstract. Purpose:To report the outcome of cataract surgery with implantation of toric intraocular lens(IOL). Cases and Method:This retrospective study was made on 211 eyes that received cataract surgery with implantation of torie IOL SNA6T3, AT4, AT5 or 60WF. The cases were evaluated regarding corneal and total astigmatism before and after surgery. Results:There was no significant change in corneal astigmatism after surgery independent of the type of toric IOL or amount of astigmatism. Total astigmatism decreased significantly after surgery except in 31 eyes with astigmatism less than 1.5 diopters(p<0.05). Conclusion:Implantation of toric IOL resulted in unchanged corneal astigmatism and decreased total astigmatism.
