走査電子顕微鏡によるアトピー白内障の前嚢下混濁の観察

Scanning electron microscopic findings of anterior subcapsular opacity in atopic cataract

　手術時に採取したアトピー白内障12眼の前嚢皮質混濁部位を走査電子顕微鏡で観察した。年齢は14〜38歳，平均26歳であった。全例で前嚢自体には病的所見はなく，線維性偽化生と考えられる水晶体上皮再生の配列の乱れ，層状化，変性物質の蓄積があった。22か月間眼内にあり，摘出された眼内レンズに付着した組織に，水晶体上皮細胞由来の線維芽細胞様細胞の増殖による混濁が観察され，アトピー白内障での線維性偽化生と酷似していた。

We observed the surgically obtained specimens of anterior subcapsular opacity in 12 eyes of atopic cataract by means of scanning electron microscopy. The age of patients ranged from 14 to 38 years,average 26 years. The anterior capsule appeared normal. The anterior subcapsular tissue showed irregular arrangement of lens fibers, lamellation and deposits of degenerative substances as consequences of fibrous metaplasia. Similar findings were observed in another specimen of fibrous tissue adherent to removed intraocular lens.
