角膜混濁を合併したクルーゾン病の1例

Corneal opacity in a case of Crouzon's syndrome

　角膜混濁を合併したクルーゾン病の1例を経験した。患児は38週で自然出産した男児で，両眼の先天性中央部角膜混濁を合併していた。片眼に角膜移植を行い，摘出された角膜の病理組織学的検索で，実質表層の瘢痕が認められた。この部分はアルシャンブルーに陽性に染色されたことにより，胎生期のある時期に兎眼によって角膜が羊水中に慢性的にさらされたために生じた病変である可能性が示唆された。

A 1-month-old male infant presented with bilateral opacity in the central cornea. He manifested typical features of Crouzon's syndrome with a tendency to lagophthalmos. He underwent unilateral penetrat-ing keratoplasty 3 months later. Pathological examination of the excised cornea showed mild superficial stromal scarring which stained positive with Alcian blue. The scarification appeared to be the consequence of chronic exposure of the cornea to the amniotic fluid before birth.
