硝子体手術により虫体が証明されたocular toxocariasisの1例

Demonstration of causative organism bv vitrectomv in case of ocular toxocariasis

（P3-1-32）　幼虫移行症の1つであるocular toxocariasisは本邦においても増加しつつある疾患であるが，この疾患の診断と治療は困難なことが多い。今回筆者らは，硝子体混濁と眼底周辺部の白色隆起性病変を認めた40歳の女性のocular toxocariasisに対し，早期に診断し硝子体手術を行った。結果，良好な術後視力が得られ，また眼球を摘出することなく硝子体手術により得られた標本にて，病理組織学的検査によりTbxocara canisが証明され確定診断に至った。

A 40-year-old female presented with blurring of vision in her left eye since one week before. The affected eye showed vitreous opacity and a while inflammatory mass in the peripheral retina. The condition was diagnosed as ocular toxocariasis in its early stage. We performed uneventful pars plana vitrectomy to remove the vitreous and the inflammatory mass in the retina. The excised specimen showed Toxocara canis by histological studies. This is the first histologically confirmed case of ocular toxocariasis in Japan.
