外眼筋に発生する腫瘍の超音波像

Echographic features of extraocular muscle tumors

　筆者らは外眼筋に発生したリンパ系腫瘍および眼窩偽腫瘍と思われる4症例を経験した。症例はすべて女性で病変は上直筋—上眼瞼挙筋群に存在した。これらの症例に関し超音波検査とCT,MRI検査とを比較検討した結果，超音波検査はその診断および治療に対する変化をより早く詳細に把握できることがわかったが，眼窩深部および眼瞼部（水浸法を除く）の病変の検索は不可能でありCTおよびMRIとの相補的診断が必要であると思われた。

We evaluated the echographic features in 4 female cases of biopsy-proven orbital lymphoid tumor or presumed orbital pseudotumor due to myositis. The lesions were located predominantly in the superior rectus and levator complex. Echo-graphy gave detailed information of all the extraocular muscles but not of lesions in the deep orbit or in the eyelids. Computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging had to be used to compensate these disadvantages of echography.
