  • Look Inside

A 47-year-old woman presented with sudden visual impairment in her right eye. She was diagnosed as sarcoidosis based on ocular findings, chest x-ray and histological findings. She wastreated by systemic corticosteroid. Optic neuritis developed during the clinical course but resolved with fair visual outcome. Signs of retrobulbar neuritis became apparent 3 months later. Resumed corticosteroid therapy resulted in moderate visual improvement. A third episode of optic neuritis resulted in persistent impairment of vision.
