ヒト白内障水晶体上皮の細胞動態．顕微蛍光測光法による上皮細胞核DNAの定量

Cell kinetics of cataractous lens epithelium by cytofluorometric determination of nuclear DNA

　顕微蛍光測光法を用いて，ヒト白内障水晶体の前極部上皮細胞核DNA定量を行い，そのDNA合成能と種々の白内障におけるDNA分布パターンの差異につき調べた。一般的に，前極部上皮は，多数の2倍体細胞と若干の4倍体細胞からなるDNA分布パターンを示した。前嚢下白内障においてのみ，異常細胞増殖を示す多倍体細胞とmicronucleiを有する細胞が著明に認められた。これらより，前極部水晶体上皮細胞はDNA合成をしうる細胞であり，そのDNA合成能や細胞分裂能の異常が前嚢下白内障の発生に関係することが示唆された。水晶体混濁には，上皮の関与があるものとないものの2種があると考えた。

We performed cytofluorometry of nuclear DNA to study the cell kinetics of cataractous lens epith-elium. Specimens were obtained during cataract surgery in 12 lenses with anterior polar, cortical or nuclear opacities. Epithelial cells from cortical andnuclear cataract showed identical distribution pat-tern for DNA, consisting of a large number of diploid cells with a few tetraploid cells. Epithelial cells from anterior polar cataract showed a differ-ent pattern consisting of numerous polyploid cells and micronuclei. These results suggested that dis-orders of epithelial cells underlie in anterior polar cataract and that cataract can be classified into 2 groups : one resulting from disorder of cortical fibers and another from that of epithelial cells.
