　文献的にこれまで1例も報告されていない硝子体出血を合併した亜急性細菌性心内膜炎を報告した。

　症例は41歳男性で，内科で亜急性細菌性心内膜炎と診断された。初診時，両眼に視神経乳頭浮腫，視神経乳頭より硝子体中にのびる複数の新生血管と少量の硝子体出血，網膜に多数の出血斑を認めた。初診より3か月後，右眼硝子体中に塊状の硝子体出血をみ，視力は著明に低下した。初診より8か月後，全身状態の改善に伴い，右眼硝子体出血はほとんど消失し，上記新生血管はなくなり視力も回復した。病因としては網膜の循環障害が考えられた。

A 41-year-old male with bacterial endocarditis presented with bilateral blurring of vision. Fundus-copy showed optic disc edema, disc neovasculariza-tions, faint vitreous hemorrhage and multiple retinal hemorrhages in both eyes. Massive vitreous hemorrhage developed in the right eye 3 months later. Along with improvement in systemic condi-tions during 8 months after the first visit, the vitreous hemorrhage underwent spontaneous reso-lution. The disc neovascularization disappeared. While we could not identify the exact cause of ocular lesions, this case appears to be the first reported one of subacute bacterial endocarditis with bilateral vitreous hemorrhage.
